Hunter Primary School serves the Calderwood, St Leonards, Stewartfield and Kittochglen districts of East Kilbride.
It is a non-denominational school which originally opened in 1962. In August 2012 we moved into our new School building. Our current role of around 262 pupils allows us to have ten classes. In addition we have an infant open area, a computer suite and a library. We work in partnership with the Wombles Nursery and the Hunter Kids Club, both of whom are located in the School building.
We also maintain a very close link with Calderglen High School.
